A Kragga Kamma photo safari with Chasing the Rainbow

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXHYQ3wTVL8&w=500&h=400]I'm still working my way through Chasing the Rainbow's videos featuring Port Elizabeth and the surrounding areas as I find them excellent material for my Video Friday posts and at the same time (hopefully) getting more of my followers to follow them as well.  Today's video features Kragga Kamma Game Park and shows how awesome an attraction it is to 1: take kids; 2: take photos and 3: take kids and encourage them to take photos.

Beachfront fun by Chasing the Rainbow

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcllx2CdgvM&w=500&h=400]As I mentioned yesterday, although it's winter, we've had a few gloriously nice summery days which goes great with the fact that it is school holidays at the moment as well.  So in the spirit of nice weather and fun times, today's Video Friday post is one from Chasing Rainbow showing fun activities they got to do on the beachfront with the family.

Learning to surf in PE with the guys from Chasing the Rainbow

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2frVCrCcfGs&w=500&h=400]I love the fact that the family from Chasing the Rainbow also do video posts in addition to their general travel blogs and today I feature one of their videos as my Video Friday post again.  With non of them having surfed before they decided to go for a surfing lesson at Oceanside Surf Store at Kings Beach using the Nelson Mandela Bay 5 in 1 Pass.

Vintage Port Elizabeth

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okXCbpCPDaI&w=500&h=400]For this week's Video Friday post I'm posting a video made up of vintage Port Elizabeth pictures I found on YouTube.  I'm sure it will bring back fond memories for a lot of people while the younger readers of the blog will probably barely be able to recognise some of the places featured.

Dolphin watching in Algoa Bay

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plhAc7DcLhQ&w=500&h=400]Port Elizabeth and Algoa Bay was recently branded as the Bottlenose Dolphin Capital of the World because of the fact that the area is home to probably the biggest population of Bottlenose Dolphins in the world.  Join Lloyd Edwards and the team of Raggy Charters on a virtual cruise of Algoa Bay out to St Croix Island and along the beachfront to view the dolphins on this video and perhaps you may just decided to do it in real life…

Port Elizabeth From Above by Chasing the Rainbow

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBMuJ49YFxs&w=500&h=400]Oh how I would love to have a drone and to be able to shoot Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape from the air.  Unfortunately for me I have other financial priorities and just don't have the budget to buy one. Maybe one day when I'm big. One day.  In the meantime I'll just have to enjoy the fantastic aerial footage others like Ralph of Chasing the Rainbow shoots.  Check out this breathtaking video they did featuring some of Port Elizabeth's…

Why we love The Pier – Herald LIVE

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBk_afcrTKA&w=500&h=400]I don't make videos for my blogs.  I wish I had time to do so, but it's a luxury I don't have much of.  Instead I have to normally surf the net and in particular YouTube to find videos to post for Video Friday.  I have seen a lot of good drone footage on Facebook lately, but its not on YouTube which seems to be the hitch as Blogger pulls videos from YouTube.  But I will have a look see…

Despatch at sunset from the air

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SKAymZxmm4&w=500&h=400]It's not often that you find much about Despatch on the internet and definitely not many videos.  So I was quite surprised to find this one done by Renaldo Gouws featuring some aerial footage he shot with his drone over the town at sunset.

“Living in PE” – sing along, you know the words

?feature=player_embeddedAbout a week ago I saw a clip on Facebook where the "Living in PE" song was performed on Morning Espresso on SABC 3.  I really wanted to share the clip with you, but... you guessed it, I can't rememeber where I saw it.  So in it's place I am reposting the original Jannie and Baksteen music video.  I have posted it before but this song is so bad that it is good and I promise you the tune will…
