Beachfront sunrise

The best part about winter is that you don't have to get up as early as in summer to get a decent sunrise picture. Only problem is that even though its later, its cold and dark when you get up. Fairview sunset

Fly a kite

Today was the annual kite flying day of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University's School of Architecture. A couple of hundred architecture, technology and interior design students take part in this ice breaker event at the start of a new year. Unfortunately the Windy City didn't live up to its reputation and the kite fliers struggled a bit to get their creations into the sky. The Prince Alfred Guard sergeant-major

The Prince Alfred's Guard Memorial is situated on top of Port Elizabeth's second oldest water reservoir in St Georges Park and was unveiled in 1907. This memorial forms the central ornamental feature of the Service Reservoir. Ruins of St Peter’s Church

Part of the ruins of St Peter's Church in South End. Built in 1877, the church was partly demolished by the apartheid government to prevent members of the congregation to return after the community was forcibly removed in 1965.
