Egyptian Geese at Kings Beach

There is nothing as cute as a mother duck, or in this case an Egyptian Goose, swimming or walking along with a couple of babies in tow.  That was the case at the Kings Beach lake until babies started to turn into messy teenagers...  This is not a negative post, just one making fun with the geese and what they leave behind them.

Swimming at Kings Beach… seen from the sea

I don't get to go on the sea that often so cruising along the beachfront on The Jester gives one the opportunity to experience a different view of the beautiful Port Elizabeth beachfront.  And it really is beautiful.  One of the things that does come across as a little weird though is watching people swimming on the beach side and not with the ocean behind them like one usually see.

Beach lake at Beaches

I was having a look at this picture wondering what I should post with it.  Straight forward it shows the lake which is part of the Kings Beach redevelopment with The Beaches apartment building in the background.  But does that make it the beach lake at the Beaches or the Beaches at the beach with a lake or the lake at the Beaches on the beach?

McArthur Pool on a quiet day

Over the summer holidays Port Elizabeth's beaches have been packed due to some notably outstanding weather.  Looking at some pictures I took in November I found this one taken at McArthur Pools with Kings Beach in the background.  Not a soul in sight.  Tranquil compared to what it looks like around there at the moment.

Skate park

Going by its popularity with both big and small, the new skate park at Kings Beach seems to go down quite well with skaters of all sorts.  Passing there the other day there were skate boards, a j-board, a BMX and somebody on in line skates trying out the new facility.
