Boardwalk outside dining

On a nice sunny day one of the best places to have lunch or just a coffee or a drink is one of the outside seating areas belonging to the restaurants at the Boardwalk. Its normally quite difficult getting an outside seat overlooking the Boardwalk lake at a place like Dulcé. Suddenly I wish I was sitting there and not here in front of my computer.

Bumper boats

One of the activities at the Boardwalk for kids (and sometimes big kids as well) is bumper boats on a separate section of the Boardwalk lake. The Rugrats went to a birthday party at the Boardwalk the other day and one of the things they did was the bumper boats. Chaos Boy is a bit scared of water and Drama Princess is still too young to go alone, so I went along with them. The boats have little water canons…

Boardwalk kiddies entertainment

The Boardwalk has a range of entertainment options for the littlies. Everything from merry go rounds to putt putt and go carts. Obviously if you have two Rugrats like us it can be a bit heavy on the wallet for an evening of fun. But lots of people leave their wallets at home, park their car at the Boardwalk's parking and take a nice slow walk through the centre on their way to the beach..GPS: 33°59'1.96"S, 25°39'27.55"E

Floating balls

It doesn't look like the easiest thing judging on the fact that the kids doing it were more flat on their backs than on their feet. It did look like lots of fun though.

Casino Mermaid

The fountain at the entrance to the casino in the Boardwalk complex has a feature with a mermaid and two dolphins in it. Right from the start people started to throw money into the fountain and every now and then the fountain gets cleaned out and the money donated to a charity. The casino licence is currently up for renewal and except for the Boardwalk there is one other casino licence bidder. It will be quite interesting to see what…
