Birds and boat (and a new camera)

Gamtoos River boats
The Gamtoos River is a very popular fishing destination in the Eastern Cape. Aloes and Supertubes
Jeffreys Bay is seen as the surfing capital of South Africa with Supertubes being rated as one of the top 10 surf spots in the world. Supertubes is one of the best right hand point breaks in the world and one a good day can break over a distance in access of 300 meters. Discovering Lauries Bay in Port Elizabeth
The South African coastline stretches over 2500 km (give or take a couple of km) from the desert border with Namibia to the subtropical border with Mozambique. I say give or take a couple of km as I have seen exact distances given of between 2798 km and 3751 km. A walk to Salt River Mouth at Natures Valley
The Garden Route has some excellent hiking trails. The Otter, Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma trails are epic and will take you a couple of days covering long distance lugging along backpacks while short loops like Storms River Mouth, The Big Tree and Garden of Eden will use up an hour of your time with only a camera over your shoulder before heading off to your next destination. Enjoying the view at Bruce’s Beauties
There are some really tranquil spots along the Jeffreys Bay and St Francis coastline where one can sit and take in a view of the ocean.
