[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pHOCFiUm70&w=500&h=400]This week's Video Friday post is another of Renaldo Gouws' aerial drone videos, this time of what is probably Port Elizabeth's most special beach.  Sardinia Bay. Enough said.

Maitlands from the air

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3lvc_XWa1A&w=500&h=400]Last week's Video Friday post was one by Renaldo Gouws showing off Shark Rock Pier and surrounds.  This week I'm sharing his video with drone footage of the Maitlands area.  We really are fortunate to have such beautiful coastal areas around Port Elizabeth and it's great seeing it from another angle in Renaldo's videos.

Drone footage around Shark Rock Pier

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqiGwcSwfpE&w=500&h=400]I was very excited when I saw that Renaldo Gouws had uploaded some drone footage on YouTube again.  Renaldo may be best known for his political and social comment videos, but his drone videos truly are exceptional.  He has upload three which I will be sharing with you on Video Friday over the next three weeks.  The first one features Shark Rock Pier and surroundings.  Makes me wish I had the budget to get myself a toy like this as well.…

Port Elizabeth from the air

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNZM98qs0oE&w=500&h=400]I found this clip by Hurricane Productions on YouTube this morning and I see I have commented on it so there is a chance that I have shared it before.  But even if I have, it's worth sharing again.  The drone footage of Port Elizabeth is among some of the most stunning I have seen and really shows off this beautiful city we live in.

Enjoy some PEness from the air

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t917uAleNsc&w=500&h=400]I often wish I had a drone to be able to shoot some aerial views of all the fantastic places and attractions around Port Elizabeth.  Check out this awesome video I found on YouTube showing off PE from the air done by Jayme Thompson in collaboration with Indian Swell Productions and Jared Lotz.  PEness is AWESOMEness.

Port Elizabeth From Above by Chasing the Rainbow

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBMuJ49YFxs&w=500&h=400]Oh how I would love to have a drone and to be able to shoot Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape from the air.  Unfortunately for me I have other financial priorities and just don't have the budget to buy one. Maybe one day when I'm big. One day.  In the meantime I'll just have to enjoy the fantastic aerial footage others like Ralph of Chasing the Rainbow shoots.  Check out this breathtaking video they did featuring some of Port Elizabeth's…

Despatch at sunset from the air

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SKAymZxmm4&w=500&h=400]It's not often that you find much about Despatch on the internet and definitely not many videos.  So I was quite surprised to find this one done by Renaldo Gouws featuring some aerial footage he shot with his drone over the town at sunset.

Coega from the sky

Fly to Durban the other day I leaned over the Damselfly who was sitting by the window to snap a pic of the Coega Harbour down below.  Not the best picture but a different angle from what you see passing on the N2

Out the plane window

Three weeks ago the Damselfly and I flew to Durban for a weekend in Umhlanga courtesy of the InterContinental Hotels Group and Holiday Inn Express Umhlanga.  Here the Damselfly looks out  over PE through the plane window after we took off.  Ah, but we really live in a beautiful city doesn't matter what angle you look at it.
