While many people were enjoying a sleep in on Moday, 16 June, which was Youth Day others were up bright and early to go fishing from New Brighton Pier.
Just like a postcard from Paradise.Nice weekend from Norway.

If it was me, and it isn’t me, I would have tried to get a faint hint of detail in the foreground on the image showing. You can click on it and enlarge it and there is the hint of detail I am talking about. I hope a lot of people click on it so they can see there are things there. I would say it is one of the best sunsets I have seen today.Something different from me Better Blog Writing
Fantastic one! We had the sky up there, all speckled with stars, and we used to lay on our backs and look up at them, and discuss about whether they was made or only just happened… mine’s up too hope you can drop by. Happy SWF!
No, just as it is. Less is more, nothing to gain from more in the forgeound. It’s perfect as it is, especailly with the figure on the beach agaisnt that sumptious sky.
Your post makes mine look very poorly…this is one of the best photos I have actually ever seen..published or unpublished…it looks like it is in a photo magazine.
What a great shot! Really dramatic…Have a great Sky Watch Friday.Best regards, Don.

Hi SAM,This is a very good photo! An interesting sky, fore- and middle ground, good reflections, good exposure. Very nice.Since you’re into photography may I suggest that you use a split grad neutral density filter the next time? That will balance the contrast between the sky and the foreground to allow more foreground detail to be shown. Or, expose for the highlights, and another for the shadows (you’ve got to use a tripod and cable release, though) and sandwich them in Photoshop.I’ve got some tips specifically about this on my blog (see the June 11 post).Jim
Thank you for being a part of Sky Watch this week, your post and comments are much appreciated.Tom ;O)

Hopefully, the early risers were rewarded with fish as well as a beautiful sunrise. That pier makes a nice detail in the scene.
