Reflextion of blue

I have posted a lot of sunrise and sunset pictures for Skywatch Friday lately, so today I decided to look down to look up. I got this reflection in one of the river pools at Sleepy Hollow just outside Port Elizabeth on our last camping trip. The water was perfectly still and gave me the opportunity to get the perfect sky reflection.

Have you ever….I sat looking at the photo before reading and thought you had set the photo in upside down as that looked like the sky it was so blue but the sky was in the wrong place…wow – so clear, am impressed. Well done on this amazing shot.

Jonker I would call that photgraph an eye-bender – it really works the eyes if you try to figure it out before reading. You may have uncovered a new form of optical illusion photography. Anyone remember Genius and Wizard?

  3. at the first moment, I imagined that u inverted the photo….congrats..a nice shothttp://graceolsson.com/blog/2010/05/you-are-the-sunshine-of-my-life/

I love this perspective of the sky Jonker! Sometimes we do need to look down, out, around and up.

Perfect! I agree with all above – I had to look carefully at it to work it out! Well done – perfect reflection .. so clear!

The vegetation looks great in the reflection. Trees reflected in water always remind me of oil paintings.

Nice one Jonker. I spent a while trying to figure out which were reflections and which were plants.

Great photo! Puddles are great things for the photographer who is willing to use them as a mirror.

  9. This is the perfect reflection shot Jonker. What a beautiful blue sky you caught that day.
