Mountain flowers

Little dry flowers on top of the Swartberg Pass outside Oudtshoorn. I am always amazed at the resilience of plants growing in an area where in summer the temperature can top 40 degrees Celsius and in winter is often covered in snow.

Lovely photograph! They remind me somewhat of Eidelweiss!

The true survivors really stand out.

  3. I know that I would never be able to survive up there but nature is fantastic in what it accomplishes.

Well, this must be a good shot! When I saw it my instant reaction was “what is my photo doing on your blog?” 🙂 Nope, different flowers and different valley. Too funny though. Well done!!!
