Karoo sunset

On my visit to the Karoo last week, I got to experience an awesome Karoo sunset from one of the viewpoints at the Valley of Desolation. You can see why the Karoo is called “Big Sky Country”.

This is the original picture. No extra colour added. No enhancement. Just a brilliant Karoo sunset.

Great colours. Your postings about the Angora goat have interested me very much. I didn't knew that there were so many Angora Goat in South-Africa, good for 50% of world's mohair. Didn't expected that.

Those are exquisite. There is something about an African sunset that is so special. You have captured those colours so beautifully! The second one looks almost like a painting. I do hope you're going to display those in your home!!

I lived in S Africa for a while. I visited Port Elizabeth but only rode through the Karoo on a train. I missed the sunsets!
