Umhlanga Sunrise

I kinda don’t have anything new to post today, so I decided to post a sunrise pic I took in Umhlanga a couple of months ago. In May we went to Durban to exhibit at Indaba, South Africa’s biggest international tourism trade show. We stayed in the coastal resort town of Umhlanga about 20 kilometres north of Durban. I was up before sunrise one morning and got this pic from my hotel window. Ok, so I brought the colours out slightly, but only slightly. It was the reddest (is that a word or did I just make it up) sunrise I have ever seen.

My God ! that is absolutely spot on, FANTASTIC, Crane and tower block just add an edgy feel to the shot, colour and saturation is perfect, excellent work Mr. Firefly.

That sky is spectacular. My gosh!I’m catching up on my blogging, and I love visiting your blog because my mother spoke about South Africa so much, and now I can see all the places she spoke about. It looks like such a beautiful country. The snail graveyard looks amazing. And congratulations on your new little niece.

What a beautiful sunrise. The colours are almost surreal and love the cranes in the foreground. Adds to the weirdness of it all.

Great capture, and awesome that you question what you got and did not overprocess the photo! Like your photo, I have shot sunrise and sunsets in Alaska (best in the world I have seen) and they are every bit of red you got there! Nice job!kc daily photo blogkc.
