Cotswold Quarry

Situated next to the suburb of Cotswold is the Cotswold Quarry where they collect supacrush for building purposes.  I got to this lookout area with fellow geocacher Seekoei the other day on a caching expedition.  Even though I've always known that it's there I actually don't know much about the quarry and thought to consult my good friend Google.  Unfortunately he didn't know anything either. There seems to be one more informed that my friend Google and that is regular PEDP…

Boardwalk construction crane

The construction on the new Boardwalk Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre is coming on very nicely with the roof having gone up already.

New hotel construction

There are lots of construction going on in and around town. Some of the projects (mostly infrastructure) are related to the 2010 FIFA World Cup while others are part of the growth of Port Elizabeth. Construction on the Donkin

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, through the Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) is busy with a upgrade of the Donkin Reserve and the historic buildings on it. Part of the project is the restoration and upgrading of the lighthouse and the old lighthouse keeper's building which acts as a tourist information office managed by Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism.
