Whenever there’s a storm brewing the fishing boats catching fish and chokka out in and just outside Algoa Bay sails into the bay to find shelter and ride it out. The other day I got the perfect scene with a yacht sailing past a number of fishing boats and a couple of big ships in the background waiting to enter the Port Elizabeth Harbour. The gantry cranes right in the back are at the Coega Harbour on the other side of the bay.
Ships ahoy

Looks like some breeze with that sailboat on such a nice heal.
Living away from the sea I forget about beautiful scenes like this. Diane
I love the shimmering water and the boats together in this foto!
Aah – just like my other favourite shot of fishing and chokka boats but nicer! Was there a storm? The sea looks choppy enough. What a lovely, shimmery shot!
The annual Opening of the Season Sail Past takes place on Saturday 2 October – look out for more Photo Ops.
