Reflections of history

Sometimes when we go for early morning walks to catch the sunrise over Algoa Bay, we see more than we bargained for. Here is a shot of the historical suburb of Richmond Hill relected in the windows of the Eric Tindale building.

On top of the hill we have a lovely quiet suburb, but a short walk below us is the city centre. Not too busy at 7:00 in the morning.

  1. Neat reflections. That’s a chunky building, isn’t it?(BTW, I’ve been meaning to let you know that often your photos do not enlarge when clicked (on this post bottom pic isn’t clickable and top pic links to same size.)Cheers! 🙂

yes Fenix, one of the monstosities from the 60s and 70s which proliferated in our downtown area. Thank goodness the reflections make it interesting, without them it is just plain UGLY! re the size, it must have something to do with the way we are resizing in order to save on upload capacity. not sure if it is best to compress or resize. we use microsoft office picture manager, sometimes if you compress for documents, it is still too big, but if you compress for web, it is tiny. So i sometimeds compress for documents, then resize to a percentage of that. max resizes to a fixed format for the web, and i think that is why these stayed so small.
