I haven’t been to the historic part of PE for a while and the pictures on PEDP probably shows that. Between work and family I have just been so busy that I haven’t been to try out my new camera in the old part of town. A quick stop at the tourism visitor centre at the Donkin Reserve to drop off brochures gave me a chance to snap one or two pictures before I had to rush off again. Just waiting for a quiet day and I’ll slip out and go and take a few pictures in the area again.

That sure is an unusual combination of sights all together.
Lighthouses are so irresistible. I like this one. (Thanks for pointing out that the trees were missing in the Shetlands. It must get windy there!)
Yay – I can comment! It was always blank. Could be our computer! I like the extra thin shadow !!!
Clear blue sky and a lighthouse and Mandela figure and what looks like a mini pyramid all in one pic! Mandela came to Leeds some years back, I saw him but it was before I got the photography bug. My mate met him when he photographed him for national newspaper, said he had a firm handshake.
What a great statue of a great man.
