Entrepreneur?
One does not begrudge any entrepreneur the chance of making a living, but the way this sign has been scrawled on this wall, in Bird Street, seems to indicate this is also another contribution to the urban decay we see in so many parts of Central.

PE Monuments 2
Today I want to continue showing off some of better known monuments and historic buildings in Port Elizabeth. Situated on Market Square in the historic heart of the city is the Port Elizabeth City Hall. PE Monuments 1
Port Elizabeth is a city with a rich historical and cultural background. It has many monuments going back to the colonial days as well as some more recent ones. Mime or mannequin?
At first glance this mime artist looks like a mannequin and when you ask if you can photograph him, he does not answer and he does not move a muscle. Mmmm you wonder am I talking to plastic? Then after taking the picture and dropping some money in the box, he comes to life with a sudden movement and then takes on a new pose. You can often see this guy at the Boardwalk complex.

Blue Flag Beaches
See that I have been showing off some of our beaches so far, I decided to stick to the topic today and show you two more.Humewood Beach is the oldest Blue Flag beach in South Africa. It is a very family friendly beach situated next to the old slipway pillars. Before the construction of the harbour in the 1930's, the Humewood slipway was used to repair boats. Railway yards and harbours are the source of great photo opportunities. Somehow the rusty objects lying around, and the shadows they cast, can yield wonderful abstract images. This was taken at the harbour.
