Sour Fig

A little while ago I did a post on the Natal Creeping Fig with its purple flowers. In that post I mentioned that it is related to the Sour Fig (Carpobrotus edulis). I found a Sour Fig the other day and took some photos of it to show you what it looks like as well.

    These are really pretty. I have planted some in the plant boxes near my front door. I do hope they're going to grow. I believe they're quite hardy, which for me, is a good thing!!

  2. Ah!! I love the summer when everything starts to bloom. The problem is there are so many beautiful eye-catching things to take pictures of, I usually do not get very far on a walk. 🙂

    Lovely!! The purple one is more common, I think.Thanks for your comment – there are literally hundreds more!!! Choosing is difficult. We went to so many interesting places and the landscape is absolutely breathtaking you just have to capture as much as possible!!! ..and having the 'bucks to travel' .. this is only my second overseas trip EVER! So you have time! Hubby retires next year soooo …..?? 🙁
