When I was growing up there was an Afrikaans kiddies show on South African tv called Oscar en Knersus. Oscar was a rabbit while Knersus was a big Pterodactyls with huge teeth. Knersus was always trying to catch Oscar. For some reason we always called these plants Knersus’ teeth because the look like teeth. I haven’t been able to find the proper name, so if anybody know…
Knersus’ teeth.

Hahaha, my mom bought the kids an Oscar and Knersus DVD and I still enjoy it as much as I did when I was a child! Have no idea what these are, but they do look like teeth…
I don't know that tv series…maybe after my time!!!!*giggle*
OMGosh, That means you grew up with my children! I must really be nearing senility.
Don't know what they're called, but looks like the rattle of the Rattlesnake.
I dont know it either Jonker but it is pretty.
They look cool and your photograph of them is quite good. I say you're free to call them what you will.
Oh my! I remember Knersus!! That was a long time ago! I think they look like upside down wheat! Never seen them before!
We used to think of them as locusts tails.I don't know what they are called though. Nice photo.
