Yikes! No wonder they stick their heads in the ground! I'm assuming you used a major zoom to get this one. I think I've heard they a kind of mean if you get close to them…is that true?
Needs a bit of facial reconstructive surgery but otherwise the eyes and lashes are gorgeous!
Are you kidding me? It's adorable with those Big eyes and long lashes. That is one great shot Jonker. I hear ostriches can be mean. I had one chase my truck in a wildlife park in Oregon.
LOL! That's funny! We went to a private game lodge once, and the ostrich there was quite tame! He used to come right up to the car and put his head in the window and try to grab anything that caught his eye! I found him scary though and I wouldn't like to take one on!
