Fig Tree roots

In and around St Georges Park there are several old Wild Fig Trees that has bees been around for more than 100 years.  This specific one in the park has a spectacular root system. I, for one, am glad that it doesn’t stand next to my house.

Wowie! That's an amazing tree and its roots!

Great Pic Firefly. Yes those roots are notorious for going under houses and taking them out!

The gigantic old Fig I saw in Seaview at the B&B was monstrous with large spreading roots. It was about 75 yards from the house. Nice shot of this ancient specimen.
